YOUTUBE LAUNCH NEW "SUPER THANKS" FEATURE
YouTube said it has added a new "Super Thanks" feature that will give a new source of income to those uploading videos on the platform. Fans who have watched the YouTube video can now purchase "Super Thanks" to express their gratitude and show their support, according to a statement.
In their statement, "They will see an animated GIF as a different, colorful comment option to show their purchase, whose critical can easily answer. Super Thanks are available at 3 USD and 50 USD (or equivalent local currency)." This feature was in beta version and now it will be available for creators.
YouTube said, "This feature is available for creators and audiences on desktop and mobile devices (Android and iOS) in 68 countries. By following some instructions, the creator can find out whether he has initial access to it. If they do not have access to the moment, it is not afraid, we will expand the availability for all qualified creators under the YouTube partnership program at the end of this year."
Neil Mohan the main product officer of YouTube said, "In YouTube we always live in search of new ways, which can bring the creator to their income. That's why I am excited about the beginning of Super Thanks based on payments. This new feature gives another way to earn money, and their relationship with the audience is also strong."
YouTube also gives facilities like Super Chat (Beginning in 2017) and Super Stickers (Beginning in 2019). Super chat, a highlighted message, which looks different from the crowd to attract more attention to the top of chat for five hours. Similarly Super Stickers allows viewers to buy stickers from creators during live stream and premiere.
